What Are The iControlWP and WorpDrive IP Addresses for White-Listing?

What is the purpose of this page?

Our backup servers can send a lot of requests to your site in order to process and complete a full site backup. These requests can trigger firewalls and simple rules on the web hosting platform and trigger an IP Block.

If you want your sites to be backed up by WorpDrive/iControlWP, these IP addresses should be whitelisted so that they never encounter a block and can process backups quickly and successfully.

Understanding IP Jurisdications

Due to compliance and privacy regulations, some businesses require that data is processed within a specific region. E.g. GDPR requirements effectively prohibits data processing outside of the EU.

For this reason we provide servers and storage in 2 primary regions. Inside the EU, and outside the EU. When more are required, they can be added.

Expanding upon these 2 regions, we currently support 3 primary jurisdictions

United Kingdom [U.K.] - these servers are based in the UK and will process sites with a UK jurisdiction, but will also process sites within the E.U.
European Union [E.U.] - these servers are based in the E.U. and will process backups within the EU and the UK.
United States & Other [U.S.] - these servers are based in the U.S. and will process all backups for sites not within the U.K./E.U.

U.K adheres to EU GDPR regulations, so the U.K. is essentially a subset of the EU. We provide UK so that clients with strict UK requirements can do so, but for most purposes, UK can be regarded as EU.

There is the option to strictly assign any site to any given jurisdiction. This will however potentially limit backup processing as the available servers will be naturally limited. Please contact us if you need strict jurisdictional assignment.

Please note, regardless of strictness, only UK/EU servers will process sites with UK/EU jursidictions, and only US servers will process sites outside of the UK/EU.
